4.  Who is Lewis Carroll?

(Just a guess based on the clue. I'm stumped on the anagram itself, unless it's "Ken arneson th' wack vile scrbd leapt")

7.  So the answers don't have to be baseball related?

And I'd love an explanation of the anagram.

8.  In this round, the answers are baseball and/or poetry related.

"invents words": Carroll's poem Jabberwocky is full of nonsense words.

"blank cat": refers to the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland.

9.  I was going to guess Barry Bonds ("he lacks peer") - oops.

I'll be glad when this anagram category is finished! Turnstiles, you've earned the lead and then some. Nicely done.

13.  Yeah, here's the instructions for Double Humbugardy: "I will provide the answer, you provide the question. The answers and questions will all be related to either baseball and poetry somehow, but not necessarily both." I didn't realize it at first either; I spent some time looking around Baseball Reference to find out what Lewis Carroll did for the Grand Old Game.

Hey, if it's "VORPal blade," then Shaun P was right with Barry Bonds.
