1. Who is "Cloninger"?
2. Nope. You're on the right track, but it can't be Cloninger because of Barker.
3. I guess I'm not allowed to change my answer or not, but here I go
Who is "Garciaparra"?
4. Who is Ventura?
(as in Robin)
OR, alternatively (hey Bob tried twice):
Who is Tabor?
(as in Jim)
Both played 3B, as did Tatis and Mueller.
Gotta say, Alex, I'm confused as heck as to how this ties into Sudoku.
5. You're not allowed to guess twice. Well, you are, but you won't get credit for it, the next person will.
6. It's a slice of a sudoku puzzle, but instead of numbers 1-9, there are names representing those numbers.
7. Who is Robin Ventura?
8. Argh - if Cliff gets it. I guess I owed him one of these, didn't I?
9. Nope, can't be Ventura, because of Horner.
10. Or what is Ventura, or I'm too late because Shaun P guessed that, or I screwed up because I used his first name, or I'm just flat wrong. Alex, when we get the right answer can you please explain how this works? I can find logic in the puzzle, but not the 1-9. I thought it might have to do with where they fell historically in doing what they did (the 8th to x, the 4th to y etc.), but that doesn't work out. And it's clearly not by position 1 through 9 on the field.
11. Who is Mattingly?
12. Nope, not Mattingly. He's not even on the unseen slice of the puzzle.
I will explain the numbers, Cliff, as soon as someone wins the right answer. You're very close.
13. D'oh! I always do that. I mean, the right question.
14. Who is Garciaparra?
(I think it's the most recent 9 of each feat, listed chronologically).
15. Who is Gehrig?
16. Who is Cloninger?
17. I think Turnstiles got it. Bob's answer not counting because he already guessed. Now I get it. I was close, damn close, but only after I guessed wrong and Alex gave us a clue.
18. For The Turnstiles wins!
And he's right about the categories, too.

Aw, son of a gun
T'was the most recently done
I didn't try that one
22. I feel glad in that I had the idea right.
It's a moral victory. Those are worth 0 points I believe.
