This Is A Tank-Free Zone

I have a blog entry I intend to write, relating the A’s stadium situation to my current travels, but the essay remains unwritten. My travels have taken quite a few more detours than I expected, because it turns out that there are just way too many places that the darn Danes won’t let me drive my tank.
It takes forever to get anywhere around Denmark. I simply haven’t had the time for essay writing. Sorry. Perhaps later.
1. The only way they'll get me to get out of my tank is to pull my lifeless body through the hatch.
2. Bastards!
3. I think you're misinterpreting that sign. It actually marks a zone where red diagonal lines are in danger of being run over by tanks.
4. When you think about it, this would be a very low-cost method for repelling invading armies. "Can't you see the sign, Mr. Would-Be Conqueror? This is a no-tank zone. I suggest you go park your tank at our border and tough it out on foot."
We have so much to learn from the Danes.
5. I can so see that sign at the Fulda Gap.

6. Wait 'til you get to the tollbooth.
"Somebody go back to town and get a load of dimes!"
7. turnstiles is right. the tank isn't crossed out; it's on top of the red line.
8. Frankly, I'm more depressed by what appears to be a pencil in the gutter next to the sign. Somewhere, a tiny Danish child goes to school unprepared.
9. 8 I have examined the item in question with a more detailed version of the picture, and it is clearly not a pencil. The item is not straight, and is thus more likely a small piece of yellow rope or something of that nature.
Somewhere, a young Danish boy scout goes unprepared.
10. If forced to guess, I suspect the somewhere is Denmark.
11. When you get to Germany, just mind the Hinklesteins!
12. This town that I lived in until about 2 weeks before this happened:

Needs that sign. Unless self-made tanks don't really count.
13. That sign doesn't refer to the Danish national soccer team's performance in international games?
