1. Not so fast. Must be two outs. The two guys running off the field assume the ball will be caught. The player behind the fielder does too. Suppose the ball falls out of the glove. Suppose a bird craps in the fielders eye. Suppose he has a heart attack. Bases be uncovered.

2. The second baseman is probably covering first, as the first baseman came in (perhaps unclear on which way the pop up would go).
The left fielder is charging in to cover third, though he'll be late if the ball drops.
The pitcher is out of position, as he should be covering third. But perhaps he is going to back up home...
