Forbes declares the Sacramento River Cats to be the most valuable minor league franchise, worth $29.8 million. 

Forbes also declare A’s fans to be the third least loyal in the majors.  Doggone Angels finish first again.

1.  One wonders if Sacramento could support a Major League franchise. I don't think there's enough corporate support there to make it worth some owner's while, but it's an intriguing idea.

Of course, if you really wanted to pick the most appropriate new market for a baseball team -- population, media, corporate sponsors -- you'd put a team in Northern Jersey.
